Welcome

We look forward to meeting you! Here you will find information that should help you plan your visit.

Planning your visit

Dress While the dress of most of the church members might be described as something like “business casual,” we welcome you regardless of your apparel.

Entrance Because we love receiving visitors (and members alike), we do our best to be excellent hosts. When you come in the front door before the service begins there will usually be someone to greet you and to welcome you. We are honored by your visit and would like to get to know you better.

Worship We believe strongly in worship. Our praise team will lead the congregation in praise and into worship. We begin with song and sing throughout the service. You will often see people lifting their hands, clapping, or even running or dancing. We believe in giving God our all and worship is one of the primary ways we express this. We invite you to worship with us.

Prayer We believe in prayer. At some point during the worship service, we take time to pray over the needs of those in our church family and the needs of others. If you have a special need in your life and would like to receive prayer directly from our pastors and ministry, you are welcome (though certainly not required) to come to the front and ask.

Preaching and Altar Call We believe in the preaching of God’s Word. After the worship service the minister is introduced. Those involved in our preaching ministry spend a great deal of time in prayer seeking God’s will for each service and for ways to best minister to those who will hear. At the conclusion of the message, we give an “altar call” in which we invite all those who would like to pray and to receive something from God to come to the front of the church, around the altar. It is here that God often moves in a beautiful way and lives are changed.

Fellowship At the conclusion of the service, our members often stay to talk with one another. We view our church as more than a building to come to a few times each week. We are truly a family and as such, we enjoy spending time together. We often have dinners and other special events after services during which we spend time talking and enjoying each other’s company. When we do not have a planned activity after the service we frequently visit a restaurant in town to enjoy dinner and fellowship. You are always invited to join us!

Common Questions

There is one God who knows all things and has all power. He is our creator, father, savior and friend. (Deut 6:4, Matthew 28:18, I Timothy 3:16)

The Bible is the inspired word of God and is the authoritative source for all doctrine. (II Timothy 3:16; Ephesians 3:5; II Peter 3:2).

Through disobedience, mankind entered into sin and permanent spiritual separation from God. (Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23)

Nothing we do on our own can restore the prior state of man’s standing with God. However, because of Jesus’ obedience at Calvary, God has provided a way of escape from sin. Because of God’s grace we can now be free. (Romans 5:19, John 3:16 Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8, John 8:36)

Although man’s salvation is offered freely by God’s grace and through faith in Him, we are required to seek after God and obey his plan for entering into His kingdom. Jesus himself declared that we must be born again of water and spirit. We do this through repentance, baptism in Jesus name, and the infilling of God’s spirit, the Holy Ghost. (Hebrews 11:6, John 3:5, Acts 2:37-39)

Leading an Overcoming Life Once we are born again into His kingdom, we have power to lead an overcoming life against sin and to fulfill the great commission as witnesses of the gospel of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8, Ephesians 6:10-18, Phillipians 4:13)

Operation of Spiritual Gifts in the Church The operation of God’s spirit is present in the Church today. Prophecy, healings, working of miracles and other gifts of the spirit serve to edify and perfect believers, meet physical and spiritual needs and demonstrate the presence and authenticity of God’s power to all the world. (Mark 16:17-18, James 5:14-15, I Corinthians 12:1-8)

People who raise their hands in the air, “Because Your loving kindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.” (Psalm 63:3-4)

People who pray aloud “I cry out to the Lord with my voice, With my voice to the Lord I make my supplication.”(Psalm 142:1)

Lots of singing Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the Earth. Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.” (Psalm 96:1-2)

Clapping of hands “Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph!” (Psalm 47:1)

Spiritual dancing “Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.”(Psalm 149:3)

People who speak in other tongues “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:4) “Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order.” (I Corinthians 14:39-40)

Anointing of the sick with oil “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” (James 5:14-15)
